Journey of Faith
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, José and Jessica left their homeland in 1998 when José joined the U.S. Army to serve the nation. After seven years of service in various parts of the world, the Lord led them to the state of Georgia in 2005, where they had a life-changing encounter with the Savior that transformed them forever. From that moment on, they began serving Jesus, proclaiming Him as Lord and Savior wherever their military journey took them.
In August 2013, after serving in four combat zones, the Lord brought them to Sierra Vista, Arizona, and to LifeHouse Church, where they served faithfully. In 2015, God allowed them to lead a life group, bringing great blessing and sharing His Word with many who joined their group. In 2017, to the glory of God, José and Jessica were ordained as Ministers of the Word at LifeHouse Church, carrying out pastoral duties until June 15, 2025.
In May 2018, Pastor José received military orders to South Korea. It was there, in January 2019, that they were given the privilege of being appointed Lead Pastors of Encuentro de Paz Church at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. In May 2019, Pastor José received new orders to return to Sierra Vista, AZ, concluding their pastoral duties at Encuentro de Paz Church.
In August 2024, Pastors José and Jessica received a prophetic word from God, revealing that 2025 would be a year of transition to begin their calling to lead a new ministry. They trusted fully in this word, even though they did not yet know when it would come to pass. In September 2024, God revealed the name of the future church they would establish: Tel-Aviv – Spring from the hill.
Ten months later, on June 1, 2025, God answered their prayers by confirming the location where they were to plant this house for Him. He prepared their transition from LifeHouse Church to begin the process of establishing Tel-Aviv Church on June 15, 2025.
Pastors José and Jessica have faithfully served their Lord and Savior Jesus for 20 years of ministry. In addition to their service, they have completed studies in Homiletics and Pneumatology and graduated from the Genesis Chaplaincy Course in Florida (2024). They are also graduates of Core Christian College, Tampa, Florida (2025), where they studied Spiritual Warfare and Intercession, Leadership and Christian Development, Deliverance and Inner Healing, and Prophecy.
With great passion, Pastors José and Jessica continue to experience God's will unfolding in their lives and are committed to serving the Kingdom, fulfilling their divine purpose at Tel-Aviv Church.
They have been happily married for 30 years, and God has blessed them with three wonderful sons, two daughters in law and a granddaughter: Jose, Inez (daughter in law), Hector, Sarah (daughter in law), Alexander, Amberlee (girlfriend) and a beautiful granddaughter Aadiyah.
A pastor’s greatest calling is not to build a church, but to build people—guiding them to Christ, nurturing their faith, and walking with them through life’s joys and trials with love, humility, and unwavering devotion.
— Pastors Jose & Jessica Rodriguez
When they are not serving the congregation, Pastors Jose and Jessica enjoy spending quality time with their three children, Jose, Hector, Alexander and their lovely granddaughter Aadiyah. They also love outdoors and find great joy in mentoring other Christians to help them mature in their walk of faith.
Pastors Jose and Jessica's vision for Tel-Aviv is to Reach, Restore, Train, and Launch God’s people. All of this while creating a community where faith comes alive through authentic relationships, meaningful service, and genuine worship to Jesus Christ that touches hearts and transforms lives. They firmly believe that the church's greatest impact comes not from what happens within its walls, but from how its members live out their faith in the world.
