Sierra Vista: A Prophetic Journey

January 6th
A Prophetic Dream
Pastor Jessica received a vivid dream that felt like a spiritual journey. She found herself soaring above the Florida coast, observing a scene of underwater devastation with many old, decaying ships scattered across the submerged land. Then, she was immersed beneath the waves, where the Lord guided her to a new place. There, she encountered a large ship, distinct from the others, with freshly painted white, black, and red colors. As the Lord led her around this vessel, she saw its name: 'Sierra Vista.' Ships, in prophetic terms, symbolized a significant journey, a mission adventure, and the very essence of the church.

During a prayer vigil, Mr. Ivan Vargas received a vision of Pastors Jose and Jessica surrounded by many people as they preached, suggesting their future ministry would reach the nations. He also shared a profound message of separation and consecration, reminiscent of Paul and Barnabas' commissioning in Acts 13:2. This message indicated a time of clarity, where the pieces of God's plan for them would come together like a puzzle, revealing the full picture of their calling. Simultaneously, Corey's vision of large crowds gathering to hear Pastor Jose teach reinforced the theme of their future impact and global reach.

May 21st
Life Group Exercise
During a life group the teacher led a practical exploration of Moses' blessings to the tribes of Israel found in Deuteronomy 33. Participants were invited to select a random blessing from strips of paper. Significantly, Pastor Jose drew the blessing for Joseph, and Pastora Jessica drew the blessing for Zebulun. These selections held special meaning as they corresponded with the specific promises and destinies for these tribes in the biblical narrative.
Below are these blessings found in Deuteronomy 33:13-19, "13 About Joseph he said: "May the Lord bless his land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below; 14 with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield; 15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills; 16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers. 17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh." 18 About Zebulun he said: "Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, and you, Issachar, in your tents. 19 They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand."

Although unsure why, she chooses to obey.

God's Timing
As Pastor Jose seeks the Lord in prayer for guidance on when to transition out of their current church, he turns to his Bible for direction. During his devotional time, the Lord draws his attention to 2 Chronicles 15. When he reaches verse 10, his heart leaps—it resonates deeply within him. After finishing the chapter, he pauses and asks, "Lord, what are you trying to show me through this verse?" Verse 10 reads: "They assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa's reign." Intrigued, Pastor Jose begins to study the significance of the timing and discovers that the third month of the Hebrew calendar aligns with June in the Gregorian calendar. A thought stirs within him: "Lord, are You saying June 15th is our final day at this church?" Still wrestling with doubt—it seemed too soon, only two weeks away—he shares the scripture with Pastora Jessica. After she reads it, she voices: "I believe the Lord is saying our last day here will be June 15." But even as she spoke these words aloud, Pastor Jose hesitates. "How can that be possible?" he wonders. "I have so much to do to transition out with order and care."
June 3rd
Dinner Conversation
During a dinner with their current pastors, Pastor Jose and Pastora Jessica were asked if there had been any updates regarding their calling. In response, Pastor Jose shared the remarkable event that had unfolded just two days earlier, revealing the answer to their prayers.

Date Fulfillment
In a scheduled meeting with his lead pastor, Pastor Jose was informed that effective immediately, he and his wife would no longer be serving as pastors or leaders at their current church. He was told that this transition would be publicly announced to the congregation that Sunday, June 15th. Hoping to leave in a more orderly and gradual manner, Pastor Jose asked for additional time to transition—but his request was declined. In that moment, his thoughts returned to the verse that had stirred his heart just days prior: 2 Chronicles 15:10—"They assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year…" It was as if God had quietly confirmed the timing all along.

Ms. Sonia Hillerio had a vivid dream in which she found herself in a space that resembled a courtroom, though in truth, it was a vast and magnificent church. As she opened the doors, she saw Pastor Jessica standing before her. Confused, Sonia asked, "Pastor, what are you doing here?" Pastor Jessica responded with joy, "Finally, everyone saw clearly, and the judge ruled in our favor." When Sonia looked beyond her, she saw a multitude of people gathered inside. Pastor Jessica embraced her warmly, and Sonia declared with assurance, "You see, everything happens in God's perfect timing."
